The Story Behind

Our Uniform

Southern Saints Dress Design

by Bayley Mifsud

The artwork represents the Southern Saints Netball Clubs connection to the land which it is located on. It pays deep respect to the traditional custodians of the land, the Bunurong People of the Kulin Nation, shown through the gumtree pattern through the design, which is significant to their people and history. The two major meeting places in different colours are symbolic of the two teams which make up a game of netball. The “U” shapes around the meeting places are the players and people that make up a team, those being players, coaches, and family. There is also 12 people around representing the squad of 12 players that are in the team. The team in a circular form shows the collective unity and teamwork required to be a great club. The journey lines are guided by the meeting places shape, which highlights all of the different paths people have taken that has led to the Saints, making it the club it is today.
